happy happy friday! i cannot believe it’s already friday and another week is done. this was my first full week back to work, albeit part time. i still cannot believe i’m back to work, but it has felt so good. i’ve loved getting dressed, getting organized, putting everyone on a routine, it really is my happy place.
happy friday. another week, another month, almost all gone. it’s amazing how fast i feel like time is flying. the past few weeks have been something special. i am completely wiped, exhausted, but still supremely happy and have been taking in as much time with our fam as is possible.
despite our exhaustion, our overconsumption of coffee, and nightly wine ritual, our family has never felt more us. everyone has fallen into our new place; even on the most manic days, we end the night snuggling on the couch letting maya “read” to us. i couldn’t imagine any moment of the day without bubba, and the fact that he came early meant he just wanted to be with us sooner. i’ll snuggle him for every extra second i have with him.
i love the thaw of spring, and live for summer, so digging out my jean shorts honestly feels like coming home
in better news, we’re loving our little bubble with brendan and maya. baby boy will already be a month old this weekend and it still feels completely surreal to snuggle him. i take none of it for granted and feel so lucky to have him with us and be his mommy.
because i need all of the easy meals i can possibly find right now, this is one of my absolute favorites. it’s been in my back pocket forever, and is so easy to whip up in under twenty minutes.
while this chapter of our lives feels like it came on outside of any plan that we had, we’re finding the joy in starting earlier than we thought, giving ourselves grace as we acclimate, and remaining grateful every day for both of our healthy babes.
our sweet baby boy was born on march 1st, at 34 weeks. after a week in the nicu, we were able to bring him home last week, and have been nesting ever since.
with spring quickly inching up on us, and the weather giving us every reason to keep looking forward to it, we took full advantage. since daycare was closed monday, maya and i went had a girls morning with friends, enjoying a picturesque brunch and of course a trip to the playground.

another winter week, a week filled with cookies, valentines, hugs and kisses from maya, puzzling together outfits that make me happy, and snuggling into the couch at night. my best friend’s birthday was this week, reminding me not only how much has changed in, we won’t say how many years, but also how many things haven’t changed.
this week felt very in routine, full of reading (finished the school for good mothers, and oh my), watching friends (because we were both beat), and coming up with some fun plans for spring and summer. we decompressed this weekend with my favorite pizza place, rom coms, more friends, and of course football.
while we are still patiently waiting out the end of winter, this is another one of my favorite outfits, with some of my favorite pieces i got this past year.
and somehow it is already february, which feels surreal. in so many ways i feel like it was christmas yesterday, meanwhile i’m counting down the days to warmer weather and baby boy’s arrival.
