happy friday! i don’t know about you but i am so ready for the weekend. this week was warm, cool, sunny, rainy, and i had a day of travel, to and from new york city, in a day. all this to say there was a lot of creativity in getting dressed this week.
let’s start with the travel day. i was part of a roundtable discussion about spanish wine on monday. the meeting lent itself to a day trip, so i knew i was taking the train up, attending my meeting, and heading home. i wanted to feel comfortable being on the train for so much of the day, but also look chic and pulled together for my meeting. i pulled out one of my favorite staple shirt-dresses, draped a sweater for when i was cool, and used my favorite silver sandals, which felt chic but comfortable for the train and meeting.
then we had rain and gloom. this outfit is easily repeatable, simple, but chic. i loved adding the differentiation of using a dark brown belt, as opposed to adding more black. i love this sweater tee with a wide leg pant (favorite!!), and this belt is phenomenal.
and then a denim moment. i love these white wide legs, and have had them for a few years now, and constantly use them in my rotation. this cardigan felt so on the nose this fall, and again, my silver sandals.
finally, finally, one of my all time favorite uniform outfits - a button down, great pants and ballet flat. need i say more?
