what i wore this week
happy friday and happy halloween! what a fun week - one of my favorites. fall is in the air and all of the excitement that comes with a fun halloween night is in the air.
but now for why we’re here, what i wore this week. first up, and a true uniform favorite: a perfect pair of jeans, oversized sweater, great belt, and ballet flats. i love a french tuck, always will, and this felt cozy, fall, and great for work. i’ve had this sweater for years, from & other stories, but i also love these two: & other stories, j.crew.
. but i really love this sweater. it’s feminine, dainty, and feels so dressed up. it pairs perfectly with classic black pants and suede shoes (i have a different color but love this).
tuesday was back to my usual dress code (i.e. no jeans). i loved playing with this one, specifically the wide leg with the layered top. pants are hm, but sold out. some other cuties: banana republic & aritizia. button down is gap and sweater is quince. finally my loafers are a new zara favorite.
and another favorite uniform outfit, and proof i’ll always be a gap girlie. pleated pants and merino sweater are both gap favorites. another great belt, and my i love these suede shoes (i have a different color but love this).
and finally, i played hooky from work today for all of the halloween festivities with the kids. maya’s school had their halloween parade, and we are going to a friends neighborhood tonight for trick or treating. i’ve been dying for an excuse for the sweats and ballet flats, and here we had it. this will quickly be a staple in my rotation. sweater is la ligne (this will be my third year with it and i wear it all the time), sweats are le bon shoppe, and flats are schultz.
