what i loved in june
good morning! i am playing around with this and trying some new things. either way, somehow, not only has spring come and gone, but june flew by in the blink of an eye.
june was the end of the school year and ballet and the start of pool and farmers market season.
pool favorites from june:
i am obsessed with this rash guard. a friend recommended it and i am so happy i jumped at it. the fabric is a dream, and it still feels chic for the pool. i honestly will live in this all summer.
what is a pool day without a great hat, and i live in this one, and jellies, of course. i love the wide brim, color and lifeguard look (channeling my inner-liz; iykyk). it’s perfect for posting up at the pool. i’m always looking for more, and have been eyeing this one as well, if it comes back in stock. on the jelly front, i got these flip flops last year, and they are also a staple for me, at the pool, and around the backyard.
while we’re still talking swim, pool, and inevitably, sun protection, this ultra violette sunscreen is a staple in my skincare, year after year. it smooths on beautifully and feels like you’re wearing a great tinted moisturizer, with amazing sun protection.
other bits and bobs from june:
in hair and skincare, some favorites this month include my favorite claw clip, in a perfect sorbet, sunshine yellow. for body skincare, i’ve started using this retinol body lotion and i’m so happy with it (another great recommendation from a friend). finally, this lip jelly, in clear, is a fast favorite. i love the glossy texture and plumping; the gloss lasts for a while, which perfect for work days.
around the house, we are focused on settling in and enjoying the house. somehow for me, that always comes with fresh flowers everywhere, peonies and hydrangeas are my favorite, especially this time of year. the ones above are in my neighborhood and i am so obsessed; new goals for my garden. it also means fresh and bright scents, and this candle has been a recent favorite.
finally, one of my favorite, classic button ups, has been on constant rotation. the fit and fabric are my favorite throughout the year, but perfect to pop on to run errands, to the pool, or farmers market. it also happens to be perfect with my favorite jellies, that i can’t seem to stop wearing.
june really was the best, but i am so excited for july and all things summer.
