the monday edit

the monday edit, and me, are back. i’ve been playing around with what i want to do here and what i feel like resonates, but i’ve always loved having this one place to hold onto what i’m inspired by, how my week went, photos and ideas.

we have had such a wild summer, and year, frankly, and i’ve loved that this weekend in particular, we were able to do what we loved with the people we loved, without getting in a car for more than 40 minutes. we barbecued, made new friends, ran a race (kids included), went to a baseball game, watched fireworks, snuggled on the couch, and ate so many snacks.

the close of summer is always bittersweet. i start to miss the wistful days of summer, where plans stay loose, time revolves around the sun an beach, and there’s always a new adventure to take. i’ve also always loved back to school, and the start of fall. i crave the cool bite in the mornings before it warms up, the golden glow of the sun peaking through the trees, cozy evenings, and the idea of resetting everyone into a routine again.

as we start this phase of the year, we’re cuddling in and cozying up, i’m back to my running tricks (i.e. training for races), and excited to bring out some cool weather favorites. i hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend and a quick short week.
